In the movies Freddy is a stalker who kills teenagers and kids in their dreams, which actually results in their death. Freddy was created and thought up by Wes Craven and play in the movies by Robert Englund in all of the Nightmare films. The Nightmare on Elm Street started way back in 1984 and is still going strong today.
